Design Distinction 1 & 2

LifePoint Church's Renovation Project had a number of Design Challenges we needed to Overcome to meet desired Performance Goals....

Design Distinction 1: Acoustical Ceiling

The Worship Center ceiling could not be replaced like the previous drywall ceiling for a number of reasons.  So, we worked with Ankrom-Moisan Architects to design a sculpted & specifically shaped suspended acoustical ceiling to meet our acoustical performance goals.  This open ceiling design also required extensive acoustical treatment applied to roof deck and wall surfaces. Omega applied considerable research to specify acoustical treatment and materials that ended up costing less than what was originally estimated.

Design Distinction 2: Main Loudspeaker Array

The Main Loudspeaker Array design & specification was researched extensively, including a trip to southern California meeting with Jon Sager, JBL Professional, who provided a private viewing & listening session with the new "Venue Performance Powered Loudspeaker Series", which Jon principally developed for JBL. The church leadership was really desiring a concert quality loudspeaker system that would rival a well designed concert touring line array type of sound signature, but at significantly lower cost. We evaluated powered loudspeaker systems from six pro-audio manufacturers, and determined that the JBL - VP series provided the highest sonic quality, investment value, and cost effectiveness of all systems we evaluated. This project was the first use of the VP array, in a highly performance oriented church design, in the nation. We also utilized HiQnet System Architecture software to set, program & tune the VP Loudspeaker Array. The church leadership has been very pleased with the system performance.

Omega is working on some amazing projects. Please take a look.
