<< | VIEWING TECHNOLOGY

Most new television production facilities today are being designed to take full advantage of digital video technology. The two primary types of digital video signal formats commonly found in these new facilities, are Standard Definition Television (SDTV) and High Definition Television (HDTV). Older television facilities are based on the analog NTSC video format, of which the television sets in the vast majority of homes in North America are based upon. SDTV offers the benefit of a completely digital video signal which is free from any interference and has better image quality with increased resolution over the present NTSC system. HDTV offers the best video image quality possible offering images that look like those from a film in regards to image quality and resolution. >>
