The last five years in particular have seen a significant advance in monitor system technology. One of the most persistent problems that we have been researching and improving over the years has been the monitor mix for musicians on the worship center platform. Sometimes this requires a personal, 12 or more channel stereo remote mix control for each rhythm band member. Sometimes high performance, custom in-ear monitors are used with specific mix and processing controls. We have definitely experienced a strong correlation with ministry effectiveness when these personal monitor systems are designed and utilized properly. They can make a significant qualitative difference compared to traditional floor and stand mounted monitors. They also are extremely effective in promoting a vocal or choral mix above an orchestral or rhythm band accompaniment. >>
