The platform area for singers and rhythm band musicians in particular requires an acoustical design providing more sound absorptive surfaces that will not "reflect" sound back to musicians and singers. The sound cues required for professional performance are derived from the on stage monitor system, which may include "in-ear" monitors with remote personal monitor system mix controls. The acoustical character of this kind of project requires a sound signature that is not acoustically "live", but more dry, like a sound stage. There is much more reliance on a well designed sound reinforcement & monitor system for this type of music program. >>
