Shandon Baptist Church
Shandon Baptist Church, with its rich heritage, is nearing its centennial celebration. In 1995 this fast growing congregation relocated to a new campus that included a 1,200-seat worship center, gym and educational space. Just 4 years later additional education space was added. After 8 short years since relocation, God has lead them to expand yet again. With the building of a new 2,600-seat worship center, Shandon has teamed up again with Omega Consultants, Inc.
The Dream and Vision
Dave Dupree, Minister of Music at Shandon explained, "My experience with church acoustics and audio was that few churches have succeeded in having it. There are many companies installing, but few great installations. We did an initial nationwide phone survey to determine whom to avoid and who has produced fine worship center acoustics/audio. We found Omega as a result of contacting Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, TN. Following up references revealed a reputation of: Respected acoustical and technical system expertise; Heart for ministry; Understanding of worship dynamics; Stays current with emerging technology; High level of integrity; Predictable results."
